Put fire-damaged walls back after restoration work
Fire restoration can leave damaged board and finish to replace after the affected area is ready for drywall work. Without a clear handoff, board replacement and texture or paint preparation can be mixed into the restoration stage.
After the restoration provider clears the remaining work area, Solis repairs the drywall and carries the wall through texture and paint preparation as needed. Keeping that work with the post-restoration phase gives the room a clear path back to finished walls.

Start drywall put-back after the room is ready
Fire jobs involve damaged materials and trades that sit outside drywall. Before we close a wall, the owner or project lead confirms that assessment, cleanup and any clearance are done. Washington has the owner give contractors the asbestos inspection report before they bid on work that could disturb asbestos, so send it with your photos if you have one. What's left for us is board, joints, texture or a smooth finish, and the paint area you agree to.

Map damaged board and the replacement boundary
Walls, ceilings and the edges around openings can all be affected. We remove damaged board back to a sound edge and tie the new panel into what remains, with backing where the project calls for it. A single patch and several rebuilt walls are different jobs.
Restore finish after board replacement
New joints get tape, compound and a finish that fits the texture or smooth walls around them. Paint can cover the repair or a larger area to even out color and sheen. Soot cleanup, contents work and other restoration services stay outside our quote.

Fire-Damage Drywall Repair questions in Puyallup
Does fire-damage drywall repair include smoke or soot cleanup?
No. We do drywall put-back and finishing after the area is cleared. Smoke and soot cleanup and contents handling are separate restoration work.
Can drywall be replaced before other fire repairs are complete?
We wait until assessment, cleanup, clearance and in-wall trade work are finished. Your project lead confirms that handoff before we hang board.
