Put fire-damaged walls back after restoration work
Fire restoration can leave damaged board and finish to replace after the affected area is ready for drywall work. Without a clear handoff, board replacement and texture or paint preparation can be mixed into the restoration stage.
After the restoration provider clears the remaining work area, Solis repairs the drywall and carries the wall through texture and paint preparation as needed. Keeping that work with the post-restoration phase gives the room a clear path back to finished walls.

Start after assessment and other fire work are complete
Fire damage pulls in trades and materials outside drywall. Before any wall closes, the project lead confirms the assessment, cleanup, clearance and in-wall work are done. Then we scope what's left: board replacement, tape, compound, texture or smooth finish, and the paint area.
Set the cut line and replacement board area
The damage may cover part of a wall, a ceiling or several connected surfaces, and the cut stops at sound board, with backing or framing handled where the project calls for it. Most Chehalis homes were built before 1980, and before more material comes out, Washington law has the owner arrange a good faith asbestos inspection by an accredited inspector and give the report to contractors before they bid.

Restore the wall finish after replacement
New board is taped, coated and blended into what's left. Texture or a smooth skim can run past the panel edge, and paint can cover only the repair or the whole wall or ceiling. Contents, soot and other restoration work stay with the restoration company.

Fire-Damage Drywall Repair questions in Chehalis
Does fire-damage drywall repair include smoke or soot cleanup?
No. We put back and finish drywall after the area is ready. Smoke, soot and contents are handled by restoration specialists first.
Can new drywall go in while other fire repairs are underway?
Not until the required assessment, clearance and in-wall work are complete. The project lead tells us when the cavity is released.
