We look at what the wall is made of, where the studs fall, and what the rack is rated to carry, then anchor into framing or add blocking to reach that number. Overhead racks get the same treatment, because there the ceiling is carrying the load and the panel is not.

Most garages end up with the heavy items at eye level, the daily items out of reach, and no room left for the car. We set heights and spans around what you actually store and how often you touch it, and leave the floor clear where a vehicle needs to go.
Finishing the wall after the rack moves
Storage work usually starts by taking something down, which leaves a line of anchor holes behind. We patch, texture to match, and prepare the surface, and interior painting is available in the same scope so the wall does not keep a grid of old holes. How much weight will my garage wall carry?
Two numbers matter and they are different: what the shelf or rack is rated for, and what the framing behind it can hold. We work to the lower of the two and tell you which one it was. If the product you bought is rated below what you plan to store, we will say so before it goes up.
Can you install a rack I already bought?
Yes. Send the model number or the rating plate and a photo of the wall. We install to that product's own instructions and anchoring requirements rather than to a general rule, which is also what keeps its warranty intact.
