Garage Storage & Shelving Installation in Lacey & Tumwater, WA
Garage storage fails where it is anchored. Solis Interiors installs wall-mounted racking, overhead racks, workbench framing, and pegboard across Lacey, Olympia, Tumwater, and DuPont, fastened for the weight a working garage actually carries.
Request an estimateStorage is a load question before it is a layout question
A wall of totes, a ladder, and a spare set of tires add up faster than most people expect. We look at what the wall is made of, where the studs fall, and what the rack is rated to carry, then anchor into framing or add blocking to reach that number. Overhead racks get the same treatment, because there the ceiling is carrying the load and the panel is not.
Laying the wall out so it still works in five years
Most garages end up with the heavy items at eye level, the daily items out of reach, and no room left for the car. We set heights and spans around what you actually store and how often you touch it, and leave the floor clear where a vehicle needs to go.
Finishing the wall after the rack moves
Storage work usually starts by taking something down, which leaves a line of anchor holes behind. We patch, texture to match, and prepare the surface, and interior painting is available in the same scope so the wall does not keep a grid of old holes. Lacey, Olympia, and Tumwater customers get 10% off mounting work, storage included, for military families and residents 60 and over.
Frequently asked questions
Questions & expert answers
Q1How much weight will my garage wall carry?▼
Two numbers matter and they are different: what the shelf or rack is rated for, and what the framing behind it can hold. We work to the lower of the two and tell you which one it was. If the product you bought is rated below what you plan to store, we will say so before it goes up.
Q2Can you install a rack I already bought?▼
Yes. Send the model number or the rating plate and a photo of the wall. We install to that product's own instructions and anchoring requirements rather than to a general rule, which is also what keeps its warranty intact.

The process
Need garage racks or shelving installed?
A short path from the first description of the problem to a clear next step.
Step 1 — Share the rack and storage plan
Send a photo of the wall or ceiling, the rack model or rating information, and what you plan to store.
Step 2 — Review attachment points and access
The product instructions, wall or ceiling structure, and proposed layout affect the installation scope. Note whether overhead access or existing anchors are involved.
Step 3 — Set the layout and finish scope
Describe the heights and spans you have in mind. If removing old hardware leaves holes, say whether patching, texture matching, or paint should be discussed too.
