Review older material before it is disturbed
EPA banned asbestos in spray-applied decorative surfacing in 1978. Roughly one in seven Yelm homes predates 1980, and a sprayed ceiling in one of them should be tested by an accredited professional before it's scraped. Washington makes the owner arrange that inspection and share the report with contractors before they bid.
