Water-damaged drywall rebuilt in Tenino
We do water-damaged drywall repair in Tenino once the leak is fixed and the area is ready to rebuild, replacing board that can't be saved and finishing it to match the room. We size the repair from the board that is actually damaged, since a stain doesn't show how far the water went.

Replace water-damaged drywall after the leak is handled
Water can damage board and finish after a leak or moisture event. Replacing the drywall before the source is resolved can put the repair ahead of the drying or mitigation work that the responsible provider needs to complete.
After the moisture source is addressed, Solis replaces damaged board and restores the requested texture or finish. Leak repair and mitigation stay with the responsible provider; the drywall work can then bring the affected wall back through board replacement and surface preparation.
- Damaged board replaced after moisture work is complete.
- Texture or finish restored with the repair.

What happens before we start
The leak repair, water removal and any specialty cleanup come first. We start once the source is fixed, the wall cavity is dry and any restoration assessment is done. In a Tenino house built before 1980, the wet board and joint compound may need testing before they come out. In Thurston County, ORCAA requires notice at least 10 days ahead when a job involves more than 48 square feet of asbestos-containing material.
Choose repair or replacement from the board condition
EPA's clean-water guidance separates intact drywall, with no swelling or damaged seams, from board that has to come out. The USG/CGC handbook says to replace panels with soft cores or a lot of loose paper, and to dry wet panels fully before use. We go by what the restoration crew found and what the board shows, so the cut line follows the damage.
Finish the repaired area to the room
We fit new board to the opening, tape and feather the joints into the existing wall and get the surface ready for texture or paint. One sound section may only need a patch; a long run of wall or ceiling needs more. If the wall is fire- or sound-rated, we follow the assembly on the plans.
Your water-damage rebuild quote
Text room photos, the size of the opening left after demolition, what has already been removed and where the restoration stands. Tell us the texture and whether paint stops at the repair or covers the wall or ceiling, and we quote the rebuild from there.
Water-Damage Drywall Repair questions in Tenino
Can drywall be replaced before the moisture source is fixed?
No. The source gets fixed and the cavity dried first, because new board over a wet cavity traps the water behind it.
Does water-damage drywall repair include drying or mold cleanup?
No. Drying, water removal and mold or dirty-water cleanup are separate jobs done before ours. We rebuild the drywall once the area is ready.
