Metal-stud partitions, framed to finished, in DuPont
We handle metal stud framing and drywall in DuPont as one package, framing the partitions in steel, boarding them and finishing the joints to the specified surface. The work starts from your wall layout and openings and runs through whichever board and finish stages the estimate names.

Keep metal framing and drywall on the same layout
Walls, openings, dimensions, and board requirements all have to meet the project layout. When framing and drywall are treated as separate tasks, a missed opening or handoff detail can slow the next stage of a renovation or build-out.
Solis builds interior metal-stud and drywall assemblies to the specified layout, carrying openings and finish handoff through the work. That keeps framing and board connected to the project documents and the sequence shared with other trades.
- Metal framing and board follow the specified layout.
- Openings and finish handoff carried through the work.

Metal stud framing and drywall in DuPont homes
When DuPont's homes were built shapes what is behind the wall and which rules apply to the work.
- 6% Before 1940
- under 1% 1940–1959
- 8% 1960–1979
- 24% 1980–1999
- 63% 2000 or later
- 2002Median year DuPont homes were built
Half of DuPont's homes were built before 2002 and half after. New walls in an existing home are finished to meet what is already there, so the home's age shapes the finish plan. U.S. Census Bureau, ACS 2020–2024, median year structure built
- 62.5%of DuPont homes were built in 2000 or later
Newer homes are almost all drywall over wood framing, which keeps new work and the existing walls consistent. U.S. Census Bureau, 2020–2024 ACS 5-year estimates
Partition layout from the drawings
The floor plan gives us partition locations. Elevations add the wall heights, openings, soffits and ceiling connections. Doors, backing, access panels and service cutouts are marked up front, which also shows which walls stop at the ceiling, which continue above it and which tie into a rated or sound assembly.
Coordinate the frame with panel layout
Steel goes up on the wall lines and dimensions in the current drawings, with backing and access built in before any board is hung. GA-216 covers how the gypsum panels are applied and finished, and your drawings set the framing system and any special construction.

Carry special requirements through each interface
A partition in a fire or sound design keeps that design at doors, intersections and penetrations, and studs alone never create a rated wall. Frame, board, insulation and joint treatment all have to match the selected system, so we build from its reference.

Send the partition schedule, wall heights, openings, backing plan, ceiling transitions, board requirements and finish schedule. Tell us if you want framing, board, taping or all three. We price each wall type and show where every step stops.
Metal Stud Framing and Drywall questions in DuPont
Can metal framing and drywall be part of one proposal?
Yes. Framing, board, taping and paint prep can be one package or separate lines.
Does metal-stud framing automatically provide a fire rating?
