Flood-cut drywall put back in DuPont
We take on flood-cut drywall put-back in DuPont, rebuilding the opened lower walls with new board and the texture or paint you choose. Work begins once the source has been repaired and the restoration company hands the walls over, and we measure the opening they left and price that.

Replace flood-cut board and finish the long wall edge
A flood cut can leave a long strip of missing drywall across a wall or several rooms. The cut edge stays visible after removal, and replacement should wait until the moisture source and needed drying or mitigation are handled.
Once the responsible provider completes the moisture work, Solis replaces the flood-cut board and restores the requested texture or finish. Carrying the new board through its edge treatment helps the repaired section meet the existing wall across the cut line.
- Flood-cut drywall replaced after moisture work.
- The long board edge carried into the wall finish.

Rebuild the open wall to the measured edge
The put-back closes the strip that was opened for drying. New board gets supported edges and its joints finished into the panel above, and insulation, trim, texture and paint can be added if you ask, each with its own boundary.

Close only after the restoration handoff
EPA's clean-water guidance separates board that is unswollen with intact seams from board that has to go, and notes that a wall cavity can dry more slowly than its face. The restoration company's findings tell us when to close the opening. Source repair, extraction, drying and mold or contaminated-water cleanup are not part of our work.

Set finish from the actual wall assembly
Cut heights differ from house to house. We measure the remaining opening and check for any rated or sound design before board goes in, then you choose whether texture and paint stop at the lower strip or carry on to a natural edge.

Flood-Cut Drywall Put-Back questions in DuPont
Does flood-cut put-back include drying or mold remediation?
No. Those are separate jobs, and our drywall work follows the restoration handoff.
Is there a standard height for a flood cut?
No. The opening, the board left and the restoration findings set the put-back size.
