Replace water-damaged drywall after the leak is handled
Water can damage board and finish after a leak or moisture event. Replacing the drywall before the source is resolved can put the repair ahead of the drying or mitigation work that the responsible provider needs to complete.
After the moisture source is addressed, Solis replaces damaged board and restores the requested texture or finish. Leak repair and mitigation stay with the responsible provider; the drywall work can then bring the affected wall back through board replacement and surface preparation.
- Damaged board replaced after moisture work is complete.
- Texture or finish restored with the repair.

Start after the water source is handled
Leak repair, restoration and any cleanup come before we close anything. In Pierce County, the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency requires an AHERA-certified inspector's asbestos survey before renovation unless the owner lives in the single-family house, so a rental or a unit in a shared building needs that survey before damaged board comes out. Extraction, drying and mold or dirty-water cleanup are separate services from ours.

Use board condition to set replacement scope
EPA's clean-water guidance treats drywall without swelling or damaged seams differently from board that has to go. USG/CGC says to replace panels with soft cores or heavily loosened paper and to let wet panels dry fully before use. The restoration findings and the board itself decide our repair area.
Carry the repair into the room finish
We fit new board to the opening, finish the joints into the old wall and prepare it for texture or paint. A single opening can stay a local repair, while damage running along a wall or across a ceiling needs a wider boundary. Rated or sound walls are rebuilt to their assembly reference.

Information for a water-damage estimate
Text the room, the opening size, what restoration has removed and signed off, and photos close up and across the room. Add the wall assembly if it's rated, the texture and how far you want the paint to go.
Water-Damage Drywall Repair questions in DuPont
Can wet drywall be closed before the source is corrected?
No. Closing it traps the moisture. The source repair and the restoration sign-off come first.
Does drywall water-damage repair include drying or mold remediation?
No. Those are separate jobs. We rebuild the drywall after the area is ready.
